10 MORNING ROUTINES FOR MOMS

Who does not want a better morning? Moms with toddlers find it difficult to have a quiet time for themselves.

The best time for most moms to have a "Me Time" is when kids are sleeping, so it's either before bedtime or in the morning.

I want to have a productive day so before bedtime, I would fix all the things I would need in the morning.

So when morning comes I have a few minutes for myself, A few minutes to plan ahead or just simply enjoy my coffee!

10 simple morning routines for moms before your toddler wakes up

1.  Wake up 30 minutes earlier
Waking up while my two-year-old still asleep gives me a quiet time that I want for myself. An extra 30 minutes for myself.

2. Disconnect from your phone
I avoid checking emails and social media very early in the morning. Emails and friend's social media posts on my news-feed can take away that few minutes of my quiet time.

3. Pray and give thanks to God
My day should start with a short prayer. Acknowledging God and asking him for his guidance. Praying is a privilege that we all have. We are all going through tough situations, know that you are not alone. Pray all your worries to God and trust him.

Trusting God's Plan is a book for women who believe in God but who sometimes struggle with worry, fear and uncertainty. Grab the book here!

4. Make the bed and declutter for 5 minutes
It is just a bed, it will be crumbled again anyway. But for me after a long tiring day, I would want to take a rest and sleep in a made bed. That is what I want but I still fail in making my bed so I just declutter for five minutes.

5. Legs up the wall
I just read an article about the benefits of throwing your legs up the wall. It is a yoga position that has a calming effect on the nervous system. It also helps to quiet your mind.

6. Mantra for the day
I have a different mantra for each day depending on what I have planned for that day. Having a mantra helps me SLAY MY GOALS and stay motivated.

7. Gratitude Log
My gratitude log has two purposes. I use this for the things I am grateful for and for the things I have accomplished. I know that accomplishments should not be written down in the gratitude log. But there were times that I felt I was not being productive as I planned to be, so to keep myself sane I needed a reminder that I did great and there was a proof.

You can use a planner or a simple notebook for your Gratitude Log. I love pretty and colorful planners. If you are like me, you will love beautiful life planners and stickers at Living Well Shop!

8. To-slay list
In order for me to ensure that everything will be taken care of, I need my to-slay lists. I would rain check what needs to be done. What time things should be done and who should do it.

I love the "to slay-list" in the Slay Your Goals Planner Printable. You can check that here

Need a Goal Planner? Grab the Slay Your Goals Planner. This is not your ordinary planner that keeps your organized. This is created for setting goals and ACTUALLY achieving them. It can be used for personal and business goals.

9. Music
10. Coffee

A good music and a strong coffee is a heaven combination for me. I know I can knock out the day when I am boosted with caffeine and a relaxing tune.

  5. These are great suggestions. I woke up 45 minutes before my kids just so I can look decent leaving the house. It gives me time to make lunches if I didn't the night before or grab a minute of quiet. I also play music in the mornings while I drink my coffee while my kids are eating breakfast. Gets us all moving!

I usually grab my phone to check the time and stay relaxing in bed. I like the idea you mentioned of having a daily mantra. I'm going to definitely write some down so I have them ready for the choosing each day.
